Certifications and Awards

In my educational journey to learning more about the hospitality industry, I have participated in and received recognition for my knowledge in the industry in the form of certifications. In 2020 during my first year at Grand Canyon University as an online student, I joined the school's DECA chapter. DECA is an organization designed to prepare emerging leaders for the careers they dream of, and so I thought it would help broaden my expertise and and confidence some. I competed in the optional local competition for hotel and lodging, and received first place. I proceeded to the state level competition, where I received 2nd place in hotel and lodging. I did not make it to international, but I am still proud of getting first and second previously. I have also competed the certification for hospitality management and tourism from NYU School of professional studies online! View certifications below!
